Film: The Brain from Planet Arous (1957)

Summary: In the galaxy of the 50's, crime and evil run rampant. With so many races scheming to destroy each other and everyone else, there has to be some kind of authority. At the very least, we have Vol the brain from Arous, who's now on a case finding one of his own: the megalomaniacal brain, Gor.

History: Gor has been on the run for quite some time. To his kind, they're better off without him, as he abuses his various powers to hurt others below him, and is basically just an asshole in general. And worse, he's found his way to Earth, where he possesses a scientist in order to tear that world asunder and abuse the opposite sex. And he very much can with this new body. However, brain authority Vol is hot on his tail, though he has to possess a dog to avoid stooping to Gor's level.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After Gor leaves the scientist's body in order to get some air and gloat about his future victory, the human proceeds to take an axe to the villain, killing him. Vol soon departs for Arous, content with how events played out.

Powers/Abilities: The brains can possess and control whoever they please, and have access to a variety of psychic powers, such as telepathy and blowing stuff up with a thought. They can also remain transparent for extended periods of time.

Weakness: A brain cannot remain transparent or possess someone for long, as it will have to become corporeal to get air. Once like this, one must strike the Fissure of Rolando to kill it.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Gor was considered public enemy no.1 on Arous for a reason. With his power, he could have obliterated entire continents in his bid for world domination. However, he's somewhat undermined by the fact that he physically looks like a perpetually bored floating balloon. Also, the rest of his kind isn't all that bad, if Vol is anything to go by.

Trivia: -The Fissure of Rolando, or the central sulcus, is the border on the top of the brain that separates the frontal lobe from the pariental one.

-Vol's choice of a German Shepard host is an appropriate one, as that dog breed is a popular choice in the Police force due to their intellegence, loyalty, and ferocity.
